MSC accreditation on the way
From seven in the morning, the Mission provides fine mugs of tea......
ice and water in one go at the iceworks.....
perhaps someone can throw some light on the origins of these granite stones in the harbour area?.......
Badcock's Gallery have a new collection of paintings on show.......
melt-water and empty boxes adorn the market floor by 8am.....
hoping to emulate the MSC acccredited mackerel fishery (above), and after some fairly hectic discussions the accreditation for Cornish Sardines took a step closer to completion last week....
the run of mackerel is average for the time of year
a steady hand and eye for Plugger as he puts in the top-coat aboard the inshore trawler Shiralee.

re The granit Stones.
The image reminds me of a sailors insignia, so could be related to berths of ships?....How many of them are there? just had another look at your blog and the anchor sign is very similar to the one on the red boxes at the Fish market.......

There was a lot of navy activity in Newlyn during the war, the toyal navy Fleet Air Arm for instance was heavily involved in rescuing ...these are just general thoughts and i expect someone can cofirm but I think it is more likely to be a Navy connection
I'll try to speak to a couple of people this week who might know more - thanks for the help so far Chris!

Page 9 'The Newlyn Trail' refers .Post Office was once Coastguards. But was the insignia that of the Harbour Commissioners or the Coastguards?
