The youngster in the middle was airlifted by the SAR helicopter not long after this having crushed his hand under a rope when the boat rolled. He vowed never to be flown off again, saying that despite spending 5 hours in theatre undergoing surgery to his hand the trauma of leaving the deck swinging in a stretcher on his way to the helicopter was terrifying - his cries could be heard from the boat as he ascended! As usual, the Rescue 193 guys gave a faultless example of professional assistance - appreciated.
